PRIME ENTREAT is an ideal in-line corrosion inhibition for the heating or cooling systems of diesel engines, compressors and process cooling systems etc.
ENTREAT is a non-chromate, non-phosphate, free flowing liquid, extremely effective for controlling corrosion and at the same time avoiding the toxicity associated with chromate based inhibitors.
As n alkaline product, it prevents acid corrosion. For untreated systems, clean system thoroughly using before dosing the cooling water. Avoid high salinity water for topping up.
APPLICATION
Feed at any convenient point into the system with a proportioning pump using an appropriate by-pass feeder.
Its advantages are: –
- Buffering agent automatically adjust ph
- Does not affect pump glands, rubber hoses water seals and valve packagings.
- Prevents deposition of copper by tying it up chemically.
- Does not cause chromate associated stains.
- Liquid form simplifies usage and eliminates waste.
- Nitrite levels can be controlled by simple colourimetric test.
DOSAGE
Concentration level in the systems should not be allowed to drop below 1500 p.p.m as nitrite. Economical nitrite levels are 1500 – 2000 p.p.m higher nitrite levels have no adverse effect on the performance of the product. For untreated systems add 8 litres N-treat for each 1000 litres. Raw untreated water. While topping up with fresh water, add 1 ltrs for each 1500 p.p.m. deficit on an average.
Maintain ph between 8.0 – 9.5.
