Tankcleen is a powerful emulsifier containing solvents, emulsifiers and surfactants. Tankcleen can be used as a general degreaser or a tank cleaner after light petroleum oils cargo.
Tancleen is effective on mineral and petroleum based chemicals.
APPLICATION
- For local cleaning apply using a brush on soiled surfaces and let stay for 30 minutes, rinse off with water.
- Soak method – put parts to be cleaned in a bath of tancleen undiluted for heavy soils and 15-30% solution for light soils. wash off with water.
- Spray method – Spray on the soiled areas and allow a contact time of 30 minutes. Rinse off with water.
- Cargo tank cleaning is recommended with cleaning machines. Use 1 – 20 ltrs per ton of water.
- Recirculation method – Use 0.5 – 3% wash solution and hot wash water.
- Lube oil heat exchangers on oil side can also be cleaned with tancleen.
Safety & Caution
Tankcleen as an aqueous solution is safe to use. wear gloves and eye protection as a precaution. Accidental splashing should be flushed with plenty of water.
