PRIMEMET 3 – IN 1

PRIMEMET 3-IN-1 is a triple action metal pretreatment solution for degreasing, de-rusting and primarising of iron, steel and aluminium, PRIMEMET 3-in-1, protects iron and steel from the deteriorating action of the atmospheric and moisture caused corrosion, by forming a chemical bond. PRIMEMET 3-in-1 undiluted with water acts as a rust converter.

USAGE

PRIMEMET 3-in-1 can be used on sheets, new or old, machine parts etc. It can be conveniently diluted in the ratio 1:3 parts water. Non odorous, and colourless, it is safe to use. Being non-flammable, it is more advantageous than kerosene etc. rust removing procedures. It can also be used for opening jammed bolts and nuts as a penetrating liquid in it’s undiluted form.

APPLICATION

1. FLATS SURFACES: for de-rusting, degreasing and primarising flat surfaces, apply direct or dilute 1:3, with a brush. Allow a contact time of upto 7 minutes. Wipe off with cotton rags, or blow dry with air. If used as rust convector alone, just leave a dry by itself, preferably overnight DO NOT WASH WITH WATER after the application. On drying the surfaces may be whitish gray to black depending on the type of steel. For the best result pre-clean the heavily rusted surfaces with iron brush or clip off the loose hanging flakes of rust as these also with the PRIMEMET 3-in-1 thereby wasting the reactive material. The solution acts with the metal surface forming a chemical bond, without affecting the precision in case of machined parts.
2. For machined parts, components for storage, uneven surfaces, use a dip-tank method using the same dilution as above. Remove after 5-7 minutes, wipe dry with rags. DO NOT WATER Surfaces are now ready for further treatment as greasing or painting after drying thoroughly, or simply storing. PRIMEMET 3-in-1 is highly acidic, and not recommended with copper or brass parts. It has no adverse action on rubber or P.V.C. Through drying before painting is necessary. It has an indefinite shelf life and does not deteriorate with time.
